HALLOWEEEEEN

Well, we had a great Halloween. It was Sashas birthday, as well as our friends Scotts and a new friend, Lisa, so we had a big costume party. The theme was Movie characters, so we had Napoleon Dynamite, Rollergirl from Boogie Nights, a member of the Furies gang (complete with baseball bat weapon) from the kick ass 70s movie Warriors, Harry Potter & Hermione, a cop and her prisoner of love from any buddy cop film, Joanna from Office Space (Jennifer Annistons character, complete with all 19 pieces of flare), Jane Fondas character in Klute, Van Helsing, Walter Sobchak from the Big Lebowski (John Goodmans character), an 80s extra from Pretty in Pink and I was the scary girl from The Ring. Very fun. At one point, I put on my Sketchers Brittany Spears collector Roller Tennis shoe skates and me & Rollergirl skated around the neighborhood in full costume. The blood punch with floating ice hands was very effective and produced quite a kick, followed by a bloody hangover. On Sunday we were dragging a bit, but had to get it together for the multitudes of tricker treaters. We live in the perfect family neighborhood. It is like one giant Cul-de-sac, so we get hoards of children. We decorated the yard with carved pumpkins, spider webs, and spooky lights. We had a giant bucket of candy, which we went through very quickly. I had back-up candy, but we went through that, too. I had to hurry out to the store for more candy and ran out of that by 9:00 PM. We had to blow out the jack-o-lanterns and turn off all the lights to avoid getting egged by enraged candy collectors.
