Before Jacki left for the airport, we had brunch with her Sister, Janice and her Sisters� boyfriend, Ken. The boyfriend told us a weird story. A few weeks ago, he was driving to work at about 6:30 in the morning. It was cold and raining sleet. He saw an older man walking on the side of the road not dressed properly for the cold. He thought nothing of pulling over to see if the guy needed a ride. It turned out his truck broke down a few blocks back and he accepted a ride to the next gas station. They were driving along for a few minutes when Ken asked him if he wanted to be dropped off at the corner. The man did not answer, because he was slumped over dead in the passenger seat. Ken quickly pulled over to call 911 and to begin CPR, but the man never came back. He does not know his name or what exactly it was that killed him, but Ken can rest assured that he prevented a man from dying alone in the cold, dark street.
