Sasha has been busting his butt in deep nesting mode recently. He had a friend come and help him for the last 4 days; this friend has shown up faithfully each day at 9:00 am and worked until after 8:00pm, not wanting a cent in exchange for his labor. I find that odd, but appreciate the hell out of it. On the first day they moved all the office stuff out of what will now be the nursery and put on the first coat of paint.
For the last 3 days, however, Sasha and his friend have been fully focused on building a shed, nay a monolith , in the back yard. It is bigger than my first studio apartment! What does this have to do with anything, you ask? Not a damn thing, but I am chalking it up to his way of coping: building a giant structure we do not need must give him a sense of focus and stress relief or something. It is a man thing, which I find adorable, and know he will get to that second coat of paint eventually.
